more (for the new year)

For this New Year I plan
    To read more,
    To write more,
    To spend time with my wife more,
    To appreciate my family more,
    To take time for myself more,
And I’m going
    To play with my grandchildren more.
    To walk more,
    To laugh more,
    To see more,
    To work at a hobby more,
    To study and to improve myself more.
Because
    Time just doesn’t stand still,
    And opportunities are too easily passed by,
    And regrets for what is missed are wasted,
    And there are few guarantees there will be more.
